Hi, I'm Ciera. My first job out of college was at the Four Seasons, where I learned what serving people with excellence actually requires.
That standard carried me through a decade of operations and client experience leadership: a nutrition science nonprofit, a concierge medical practice, a veterans' organization here in Montana.
In 2018 I started Digital Box Designs, and I've since built websites, email systems, and online stores for more than a hundred small businesses: yoga studios, wealth managers, ranchers, real estate teams, an HVAC company, luxury clothing & skincare lines, and a retreat business or two. The work taught me its own lesson along the way: a gorgeous website sitting on top of a disorganized business is just an expensive brochure.
So I kept going deeper on the operations side, eventually stepping in as COO of Tonic Site Shop, where I run the business behind templates used by thousands of creatives. Marketing runs through everything I build, though I'll be the first to say I'm an operator who speaks fluent marketing, not a marketing director. Turns out the lesson from that first hotel job never changed: excellence is mostly just caring about the details longer than anyone else.
I've run client experience for a concierge medical practice, marketing for a veterans' nonprofit, operations for a template company, and built a curriculum finder for homeschool families. The thread through all of it: I make complicated things run simply, and look good doing it.
Marketing runs through everything I build, from email flows to launch plans, though I'll be the first to tell you I'm an operator who speaks fluent marketing, not a marketing director. The distinction matters to me. Precision usually does.
Off the clock I'm homeschooling two girls in the Gallatin Valley and co-running Montana Homeschool Guide with my favorite educator.

Most designers hand over the site and disappear. The Retainer is the opposite: a monthly partnership where I keep your website, store, and email working while you run the business. Updates handled, campaigns sent, problems caught before you notice them. My clients call it having a web department without hiring one.

I co-founded Montana Homeschool Guide because when our family started, the information was scattered, outdated, or trying to sell us something. Now it's the guide I wish we'd had: honest answers, local programs, and Find Your Curriculum, our comparison tool covering nearly ninety curricula, with community and consulting for families on the way. Built by two Montana homeschool moms who take accuracy personally.
